Azlan unleashes Phase 2 of go!voice Cisco partner development program

 Munich, Germany - April 20th, 2009 - Azlan, Tech Data's enterprise networking and mid-range systems business, has announced the second phase of its innovative go!voice program, which aims to help Cisco partners develop additional skills and achieve accreditation for Cisco's Voice technologies.

The second phase of the scheme provides resellers with special ‘on-boarding' workshops that provide them with a fast-track way to learn about Cisco technologies such as the Unified Communications 500 switch (UC500) and Cisco Call Manager Express (CME). Crucially, the workshop will also enable resellers to make the most of Cisco's Challenge and Reward channel program.

Having completed the workshop, resellers can start to make use of a series of sales enablement tools that will help them to address opportunities to sell Cisco Advanced Technologies for Voice.  Azlan will provide these resellers with pre- and post-sales support and - for a discretionary number of resellers only - sales shadowing for initial opportunities.  An Azlan expert, skilled in Cisco Voice technologies provides advice and guidance to reseller sales and technical staff on specific customer requirements both pre-and post-installation.

Resellers will gain access to Cisco accreditation training and assistance in stepping through the various levels that will take them from Cisco Select status to become a full Advanced Technology Partner for Voice accreditation. They will also be offered personal account management and priority access to inventory of Cisco Voice solutions.

David Harvey, Director of Cisco Business Europe for Azlan, says that the new phase of the scheme will help many resellers to address a fast-growing area of the market. "Voice is moving inexorably onto the IP network and many customers will be looking to their Cisco Partners for a solution. In UC500, CME and its other voice offerings, Cisco has a very exciting range of solutions that can meet the needs of both the SMB and enterprise customer. Voice is going to be a very significant opportunity for Cisco partners over the next two years and by helping them to develop their skills, capabilities and confidence in this area, Azlan is helping them to address that potential."

In addition, Azlan has invested a significant amount in the purchase of evaluation stock of Cisco Voice solutions, which will be made available to resellers who want to offer prospective customers the opportunity to test and evaluate the systems for themselves.
