Azlan helps resellers to identify and win Cisco service renewals business
Munich, Germany –April 27th, 2009 – Azlan, Tech Data’s enterprise networking and mid-range systems business, is helping resellers to make sure that they win contract renewals for Cisco services business by alerting them to current opportunities.
The service, which is provided free of charge by Azlan to all Cisco partners that register, provides resellers with a monthly notification of all contracts that have expired in the last 30 days and all contracts that are due to expire within the next 30 days. Resellers are encouraged to contact any customer that has not yet renewed their service contract, or has an agreement that is about to run out.
David Harvey, Director of Cisco Business Europe for Azlan, says that the alert service is a valuable one for resellers, especially in the current economic climate. “Service renewals represent a huge opportunity for Cisco resellers and but one that they find difficult to maximize upon, as most of them do not have any systematic process for of checking when customer contracts are up for renewal. Our system can now do the job for them, ensuring that they never needlessly miss another opportunity again and right now, that could be very important indeed.”
Harvey says that, as far as he is aware, Azlan is the only Cisco distribution partner in Europe that can offer service contract renewals notifications to resellers. Azlan has worked closely with Cisco over the past six months to develop the tight integration between its own and the vendor’s systems that make the service possible. This is another example of the bold investments that Azlan is making in order to deliver practical solutions and more value to its reseller partners, notes Harvey.
Once resellers have identified a potential renewal, they are able to generate a quote though Azlan, either by calling their account manager directly or though its on-line services. All contract renewals can be completed using web-based resources and the process is, says Harvey, relatively simple. “We have worked hard to make it as easy as possible for reseller sales people to engage with customers on service renewals and their processing. Service renewals generate a good on-going business and we would urge all Cisco resellers to make the most of their opportunities in this area by registering with us and taking advantage of notification service.”
At present, resellers are alerted to renewals opportunities by a monthly email. The next phase of development, coming soon, will give them access to a secure on-line portal though which they can check for upcoming renewal prospects.
